Dénia Clàssics trust local artists for editing 2014
The cultural calendar in Dénia begins every year for five years with one of the most ambitious bets of the department that Pepa Font directs: Dénia Clàssics, a cycle of four concerts of classical music that bring to the Social Center of the city a selection of programs that combine Quality and innovation
To program this year, the organization of the festival, directed by Josep Vicent Giner, has relied on quality artists county more than demonstrated for performances to be held the last Friday of each month from January through April.
Dénia Clàssics 2014 will begin on January 31 with the performance of Wind Quintet Llevant Ensemble, A formation led by Professor of clarinet at the Conservatory of Denia, Sergi Perelló, who along with Tomás Estornell (Flute), Fermín Clemente (oboe), Josep Antoni Alberola (horn) and Rafa Grau (bassoon), will offer a concert with pieces Mozart, Rossini and Martin y Soler, among others. It will be a tour of Viennese classicism to modernity.
The second concert will be on February 28, and will be borne by the pianist javiense Marta EspinósThe most outstanding student of Professor Joaquín Achúcarro, under the title «El humor en la música clásica» will offer excerpts from humorous pieces by authors such as Rameau, Debussy and Satie.
The soprano Dianense Carmen Paula Romero will star in the third concert, on Friday March 28, with a selection of operettas and zarzuelas in which it will master José Ramón Martín at the piano.
The concert series will end on April 25 with the performance of Lie down Jazz Band, A group formed by some members of the band Dénia in which Eva Olivencia leading voice, accompanied by Josep Pator the piano, Carles Carbonell (bass), Germán Olivencia (drums), Paco Misfud (trumpet) and Gerard Vercher ( tenor sax). Jazz Lie down a selection of pieces swing and Latin jazz.
All concerts will be at 19 hours at the Social Center of Denia, and tickets will be priced at 12 euros, although you can buy a season ticket for all four concerts 35 euros.
