Ellingtonia Jazz Ensemble concert at the Dénia Jazz Festival
As an outstanding novelty of this edition of the Dénia Jazz Festival, the first project conceived and produced by the organization will be presented: the creation of the Ellingtonia Jazz Ensemble, a formation made up of renowned European musicians that will be presented on August 18 in Torrecremada with a concert to celebrate the figure and music of Duke Ellington.
It is an international formation “of authentic luxury that counts among its ranks musicians of the stature of the British trumpeter Paul Evans, the Dutch multi-instrumentalist Frank Roberscheuten on clarinet and alto sax, the French trombonist Samuel Marthé, the Polish pianist Richard Busiakiewicz ” and Enric Peidro himself. Peidro has added that the intention is to record the concert held in Dénia and release an album with the record in a few months.
The concert will take place at 22:30 p.m. in Torrecremada Park. Tickets can be purchased online for €14 here, or at the box office for €17.
