Compromis votes against the increase in salaries proposed by the socialist government

Compromís per Dénia considers "in some cases excessive" the salary increase that has approved the PSPV in the City of Denia this Thursday at noon. That is why they voted against this measure in the extraordinary plenary session that has been held for approval.

The spokesman of the training, Rafa Carrió, explained in his speech that "We understand that we must dignify politics, the work that it entails, and we are in favor of decent wages in all areas. But that work at the service of citizens should not be neglected by incoherent or interested actions. That is to say, it seems to us that This measure undermines the image that politics has in society, and throws away the work we have done these four years demonstrating that another way of doing politics was possible, a policy at the full service of citizens, from the humility and honesty ".

Carrió recalled that in the previous legislature it was proposed that a councilor, in this case Eva Ronda, have a partial dedication, as has now been approved for councilor Melani Ivars, and that possibility was not approved four years ago. The spokesman for the Valencianists has wondered "what has changed in these four years", concluding that "The reality is this, in 2015 with us we showed that we were in politics to do politics, and not to live off politics, making us lower our wages. And now the PSOE carries out this measure from its absolute majority".
