Baleària has launched a new service this Monday, together with the Bioarray Genetic Diagnosis laboratory, which allows passengers to perform an antigen test at the Dénia maritime station before boarding for the Balearic Islands.

Passengers who want to purchase this service must book in advance through the link https://bioarray.es/es/antigenos#. The tests are carried out in a space set up next to the shipping company ticket offices, between two hours and 30 minutes before the departure of the ships, and the results of these are delivered via email or SMS.

It should be remembered that, according to the regulations of the Balearic Government, to access the Balearic Islands, all passengers residing in Spanish autonomous communities or cities must pass a health check with a cumulative incidence over 14 days of more than 60 cases per 100.000 inhabitants, as well as residents in the Balearic Islands who return after a trip of more than 72 hours. Thus, they must present a negative PCR performed within 72 hours prior to arrival or a rapid antigen test performed within 48 hours prior, or document that they have received the complete vaccination schedule throughout the previous 8 months, the first dose at least 14 days before the trip or have overcome the illness in the last 6 months. In addition, all passengers must present the digital health control form, according to the information published in https://www.ibsalut.es/es/viajar-a-baleares.

On the other hand, it should be noted that the international certification and inspection entity Bureau Veritas has renewed the Global Safe Site seal for Baleària for the third time, which it obtained for the first time in June 2020. Baleària has established a capacity reduction in all its vessels, an extra measure that goes beyond those established by the health authorities. In addition to the mandatory use of the mask on board, the shipping company provides hydroalcoholic gel and maintains a specific cleaning plan, with certified viricidal products and disinfectants. To promote social distance, Baleària continues to promote online booking and billing, and its entire fleet incorporates posters and videos that recall the recommendations.
