The City Council of Dénia has convened the third edition of the Prize for children's and youth narrative in Valencian City of Dénia, organized in collaboration with the Valencian publisher Andana Editorial.

The prize, coordinated by the Public Library of Dénia, is endowed with 3.000 euros in cash and the publication of the winning work in Andana Editorial.

People of any nationality who present original and unpublished narrative works, written in Valencian and suitable for children readers aged 9 to 12 years can choose.

The length of the work will not be less than 30 pages or more than 70 pages, in DIN A4 format, written in 12-point Arial typography. The originals will be presented in digital format, recorded on a USB or CD, and also printed in triplicate.

The deadline to submit the works to the contest began on March 4 and ends on May 15, 2020.

A jury formed by representatives of the City Council of Dénia, the Cultural Association of the Marina Alta (MACMA) and Andana Editorial, in addition to a person specialized in children's literature, will be in charge of selecting the winning work. Among other criteria, the literary quality of the work, the adequacy of the plot and language in the age of the readers, the lexical quality and variety, and the originality and creativity will be valued.

The name of the winner and the public presentation of the prize-winning work in this third edition will be made in Dénia next October.
