The V International Festival of tango and ballroom dancing in Dénia is celebrated from the 7 to the November 10. The festival is organized by the Ataque Tango association, which is directed by the choreographer Marilú Fischer, and has the collaboration of the Department of Culture of the City Council of Dénia.
During these four days, at the hotel Les Rotes, there will be various activities: classes, teacher demonstrations from Argentina, Brazil, Italy and Switzerland, and milongas-dance outdoors during the day and in different rooms at night, with live music and vocals.
They integrate the faculty body Ángela Quacquarella and Mauro Rossi (Italy), Renatta Vidal and Henrique Passos (Brazil), Silvia Verdegal (Spain), Marilú Fischer (Argentina) and Robert Groothuis (Netherlands) in tango and, for Latin dance modalities and lounge, Elisabeth Caggiano (Switzerland), Laura Gimeno and Claude Jean (France) and the couple formed by Pedro Luis Cruz and Nela de Armas (Cuba).
The musical part is in charge of Dj Sylvain El Maestro (Belgium), Ginette Montenegro and Olga La Cachila (Spain), Trio Cadenero Tango and singers Víctor Di Matt (Argentina) and Muriel Galera (France).
The official photographer of the festival is Miguel Navamuel Fernández, the selection of shoes for tango and dance will be provided by Calzados Tango Leike of Buenos Aires and tango fashion is by Tango Folie.
As usual, the festival will say goodbye with a dance-parade at the marina Marina de Denia, on Sunday, November 10, starting at 11 hours.
