Vicent Grimalt will present himself again as a candidate for mayor in 2023

29 September 2022 - 13: 20

Yesterday at the open meeting of the local executive of the Socialists of Dénia confirmed the appointment of Vicent Grimalt, general secretary and current mayor of Dénia, as a candidate for Mayor in the next municipal elections, scheduled for May 2023.

After Grimalt himself confirmed a few months ago his intention to stand for re-election, and since primaries have not been held in the Dénia socialist group, the letter from the PSPV-PSOE Ethics Committee ratifies the announcement.

Vicent Grimalt explained that "there is so much enthusiasm and desire that we keep very much alive, the work done and the transition between Dénia in 2015 and 2022 are so encouraging, and so many future projects that we already have underway, that of course I want to continue working for the city». "And I have at my side a team of highly prepared and highly involved people, with whom I know we will go very far."

On the other hand, with a view to the next elections, the PSPV-PSOE has already constituted the sectoral commissions that are going to work on the elaboration of the electoral program. There are seven working groups, coordinated by councilors from the Dénia City Council and made up of members and citizens in general who have been interested in collaborating: Equality-diversity, Youth, Social Welfare and Education, Ecological Transition and City Policies, Economic Promotion, Sports and Culture.

How good those words sound and nothing is further from reality. I imagine that one of his projects would include a good railway linking Denia with Valencia and with Gandía and from what I see he has not had enough time to start it up, I understand that according to his statements he needs another legislature since the team around him according to you are very prepared and very involved people. Getting to Denia from Valencia means spending 90Km. at least an hour and a half by bus. Sure if you suppose that . those of us who come to visit Denia have a car, this is very wrong, we are also supposed to encourage the use of public transport. A shame that Denia continues with that railway isolation
