Election night is over and you have your winner. The socialist candidacy has once again prevailed in Dénia, at less distance than expected, with 38,4% of the votes.
The 2023 elections have had greater participation than the previous ones. Some 17.980 residents have gone to the polls this Sunday to cast their vote despite a rain that has finally forgiven almost the entire day.
And the day, as we said, has its winner. the one of Vicent Grimalt is once again the most voted list, although the PSPV loses the absolute majority enjoyed by the last legislature and is left with 9 councilors.
To govern, however, he must reach an agreement with his former partners, Compromís. The match of Rafa Carrió improves its result but remains with 3 councillors.
Virtually impossible government alternative
Of course, the Valencian is no longer the second force, which has snatched Pepa Font with its Party who has managed to improve the result to obtain 27,4% of votes and 7 councillors. It will not be enough for a change of government, since it would need the support of Compromís, which seems unlikely. More counting on the fact that this would imply that Compromís would surely participate in a macro-pact together with Vox.
The far-right party enters the Dianense city council for the first time with a councilor thanks to 7,1% of the votes. The same representation that you will have Gent of Dénia, a councillor, after achieving 6,7%.
Ciudadanos ceases to have representation in the Dénia City Council by not achieving 5% of votes, losing its two councilors.
