Neighbors of Les Marines denounce the installation of a water park despite the risk involved in COVID times

31 July 2020 - 07: 00

The new normality in some new points has very little. Despite the fact that the summer season was opened with the utmost care for what the crowds during the health crisis can mean for health, it is true that little by little the measures have been relaxed and the responsibility of the people even more. Outbreaks are rampant and near us, but we still insist on keeping the summer as ordinary as possible.

In this line of normalizing the unnormalizable are the beaches, despite the risk that this may entail for users and neighbors. In MarinesIn front of the Residencial El Palmeral, these days residents are facing a struggle to prevent the area from becoming the epicenter of water leisure.

On the beach these days they are carrying out the installation of a water park like the one that last seasons was on the beach Punta del Raset. The difference? The chosen place does not have the Raset space, nor is the time, perhaps, the best time to promote this type of attraction.

Can social distancing and other security measures be ensured at said attraction? This is what the residents are asking themselves, concerned that this may pose a danger to their health, they have submitted a complaint to the City Council, with no response at the moment, to stop that project. Of course, Dénia.com has been able to contact the responsible public authorities and everything points to the park being maintained, ensuring the consistory that they must comply with a reduced capacity and maintain daily cleaning and disinfection. It will be enough?
