UNED Dénia welcomes the students of the 2019 / 20 course

This week the Informative Reception Days for all the students of the CA UNED Dénia have taken place, which are part of the Reception Plan of the CA UNED Dénia and are aimed at students who begin studies of Degree, Master, CUID and Access of 25 and 45 years in the 2019 / 20 academic year at the UNED. As a novelty, the possibility of following the conference by videoconference from the classroom of Benidorm and also online remotely has been introduced.

The 30 of September took place the Informative Reception Day directed to students of Degree, Master and CUID and the 3 of October the Informative Reception Day directed to Access students. With the passing of this course, students older than 25 and 45 will be able to access the University.

The conference was chaired by the management team. Raquel Martí, director of CA UNED Dénia, introduced the management and student representation staff, also welcoming the new students, highlighting that "The UNED is the only university that offers studies in blended modality, allowing to adapt the studies to the work schedule or personal situation, and, being a public university, with very accessible tuition prices". He also stressed that “Possibly many people present left their studies a long time ago and now you have decided to resume them. Therefore, we want to congratulate and encourage you, because you have made a very good choice, by choosing our university, the UNED, the first in Europe in number of students and also by yourselves, because you will experience a personal satisfaction that will accompany you in your career vital and professional ".

Next, each one of them presented / displayed giving encouragement to the new students, reminding them that it is a hard road but that with perseverance, organization, desire and initiative it is possible to reach the objective, in addition to enjoying being part of a community Dynamic, awake and participatory student university.

Afterwards, the first exhibition, held by Carmen Más, Coordinator of the COIE (Orientation, Information and Employment Center) and professor at UNED Dénia, who gave general information about the University and how the Dénia Associated Center is organized in terms of the services it offers such as the Library, the face-to-face and virtual classes, the academic and specialized courses offer, the languages, how and where the exams are conducted and finally, some advice on how to face the face-to-face tests.

The following intervention was given by Claudia Peter, Coordinator of the CUID of the Associated Center to the UNED in Dénia, who reported on the operation of the language center of the UNED, equivalent to many institutes and language classrooms of other universities in the world, highlighting that “Languages ​​today are more important than ever” and highlighting the advantages of having native teachers in the classroom.

The next two talks were about computer resources. The first, how to access and use CAMPUS UNED by Salvador Fuster, Head of Virtualization of the Associated Center at UNED in Dénia. The second, on the center's website (www.uneddenia.es) and email by David Canet, Technological Coordinator of the Associated Center to the UNED of Dénia.

Finally, Carolina Artigues, as a PAS representative, gave information on the services offered by the UNED Dénia, Benidorm and Xàbia, and support for the completion of the registration offered by the Student Secretariat, with an uninterrupted schedule of 9: 30h to 21h.
