A new dianense blue flag flies from today in Marina de Dénia

August 12 from 2019 - 14: 14

This morning, the head of the Dénia Local Police, José Martínez, and the director of Marina de Denia, Gabriel Martínez, have hoisted the Blue flag, granted a few weeks ago by the Foundation Foro Environmental Education (FEE), represented in Spain by the ADEAC. Gabriel Martínez has explained that “This year we requested the blue flag at the request of the City Council of Dénia and we have been lucky enough to grant it. It has been a pleasure to add one more blue flag to the city ”.

Marina de Dénia is a company that has all the quality certifications that a port can have and “This badge makes us especially excited because we firmly believe that Dénia's tourism future is in quality”, Martínez said. In order to grant the blue flag to an east port, it must comply with all the waste collection parameters, both those generated by the establishments located inside it and those of the ships. In addition, it is essential that the port carry out awareness campaigns and dissemination of respect for the environment and the sea. “And here we have been working and doing events for many years, such as Boat Show of Dénia, in which the environment is the undisputed protagonist ”.
