The event will take place next Wednesday, December 11, with a meal at the Republic Restaurant, the proceeds of which will go entirely to the Youth Reception Center. Les RotesIn Dénia. “Every year we organize an event to help children in a situation of unprotection and a few weeks ago my wife visited this children's center and found that the children were in need of several things”, said Jelle Van Burik, Republic manager. “Especially related to leisure and play. I saw that they did not have too many options and for that we have organized the food, what we will collect we will use it for sports equipment ”, said Rose Hulst, Republic manager. The company organizes this menu to be able to complete the attention that these minors receive in aspects of daily life, in which the administration does not always manage to attend.
It is planned that 100 people attend the meal and that 5.000 euros can be raised. "In addition, our suppliers are collaborating with their products and different companies have joined the event and will donate material to the center". The menu that has a price of 32,50 euros and 47,50 euros if it is paired, consists of six dishes.
Meanwhile, Beatriz Hernández, a social worker at the center, said: “It makes us very excited because we will be able to improve the activities of the children and we are very excited to have our support”. Ana Crespo, a psychologist, has pointed out that the center is not well known among the population of Dénia and this initiative can help give visibility. “Collaborations like this help us to offer the extras that we cannot offer to children from the center and it is a way for society to become aware of its existence”. The Les Rotes Children's Reception Center, under the Generalitat Valenciana, has 22 internment places and 8 day center. It is made up of children from the protection system, mainly from unstructured families.
