A new coronavirus outbreak leaves 5 infections in Dénia

The Ministry of Health has notified the detection of a coronavirus outbreak during the last day in Dénia, which has affected 5 people. It is one of the 14 outbreaks that have occurred throughout the Valencian Community in the last 24 hours.

The new coronavirus outbreak in Dénia has left 5 positive cases. This, as usual, has a social origin, so everything indicates that it has occurred in meetings of family or friends.

This is the second outbreak in less than a week in the capital of the Marina Alta, both of social origin. However, this time the impact has been greater, since the previous one, notified on April 28, only affected 3 people.

More than half a million people already have the complete schedule of the COVID vaccine in the Valencian Community

The Valencian Community has administered a total of 1.717.057 doses of the coronavirus vaccine. By provinces, 202.079 in Castellón, 628.618 in Alicante and 886.360 in Valencia. In total, 512.882 people have received the complete immunization schedule (two doses for Pfizer, Moderna and AstraZeneca and the single dose from Janssen).

In addition, 55 new cases of coronavirus confirmed by PCR test or through antigen test have been reported since the last update, putting the total number of positives at 390.824 people. By provinces, 9 in Castellón (40.333 in total); 11 in Alicante (146.484 in total); and 35 in Valencia, (204.006 in total). The total of unassigned cases remains at 1.

Since the last update, 547 discharges to patients with coronavirus have been registered. In this way, there are already 391.306 people in the Valencian Community who have overcome the disease since the pandemic began. By province, registrations are distributed as follows: 40.475 in Castellón, 146.328 in Alicante and 204.448 in Valencia. The total of unassigned registrations remains at 55.

Valencian hospitals currently have 249 people admitted: 53 in the province of Castellón, with 12 patients in ICU; 67 in the province of Alicante, 18 of them in the ICU; and 129 in the province of Valencia, 27 of them in the ICU.

In addition, there have been 15 deaths from coronavirus since the last update, so the total number of deaths since the beginning of the pandemic is 7.337: 796 in the province of Castellón, 2.793 in that of Alicante and 3.748 in that of Valencia.

    This is not a "flare", it is 5 positive PCR tests. 85% of the positives have no symptoms. But yeah, never let a good crisis go to waste.
