A man of 55 years has lost his life on Tuesday, January 9, after falling in the Sierra Tous, in the municipality of Calp. The accident occurred at noon when the man, who was climbing with some friends in the area of the Mascarat tunnels, has apparently fallen by the release of some rocks.
After receiving the warning from his companions, the Alpha 1 helicopter of the Provincial Consortium has come to the place and they have managed to access the place where the victim was, who was still alive when they rescued him. The firefighters have carried out resuscitation tasks and, after stabilizing it, they have transferred him in a first place to the Benidorm Consortium Park, where a SAMU was waiting for them. From there he has been transferred to the Marina Baixa Hospital in La Vila, where he has finally died.
