Triathletes from Dénia participated in the School Duathlon that was held in Cheste

Last January 13 was held in the Circuit Ricardo Tormo of Cheste the VII School Duathlon scoring for the autonomic phase of the XXXVII school games of the Valencian Community.

Several young Dénia triathletes competing in different Valencian clubs participated in this event: Joan Puigcerver and Hugo Martinez, assigned to Tripuçol, and Gabriel Dolader, who competed for CT Huracán and is currently awarded a scholarship by the Valencian triathlon federation at the Technification Center of Cheste. All of them competed in the cadet category.

159 triathletes participated in the race in which they had to travel 2500 on foot, 10 km on the bike and finish with 1250 on foot. The three showed a good form at this time of the season, getting Joan the 13 position, Gabriel the 16 and Hugo the 100.

Note that Joan made the 6 best first partial on foot and Gabriel made the third best bicycle part of the test. The three are very good swimmers with what can be predicted a great season as soon as the triathlons start.
