The Civil Guard of Calpe has arrested three people, two men and one woman, all of Moldovan nationality, as alleged perpetrators of a continuing crime of robbery with force in housing, committed last August.
The investigation was initiated following a police check conducted at the exit of the town of Calpe, by the Civil Security Unit (USECIA) of the Civil Guard. In this control, a vehicle and its occupants were identified, who carried objects of doubtful origin inside, but when verifying that there were no complaints about these effects, they were allowed to continue the march.
After several days, homeowners located in the same urbanization of Calpe, went to official offices to file a report for theft, then checking that some of the effects of the vehicle identified corresponded with the stolen.
Finally, the Civil Guard was able to determine the connection between the occupants of the vehicle and the thefts in the chalets, so they proceeded to arrest the alleged perpetrators, who are charged with a total of five robberies with force in housing. The three detainees, who have a record for similar crimes, have been released, with the obligation to appear in court when required. Although the operation is closed, no new arrests are ruled out.
