Les Rotes free train: dates, times and stops

18 June 2022 - 09: 50

Dénia's tourist train that joins the beach of Les Rotes with the free parking is running again. The service, which started in the summer of 2021, repeats again to bring public car park users closer to the sea at no cost.

During what dates does it operate?

It will begin its activity in the summer of 2022 on Saturday, June 18, and the service will be operational until September 18.

What is the schedule?

The hours are, from Monday to Sunday, from 09:00 to 14:00 and from 16:00 to 20:00. The trenet will pick up people at hourly intervals of 30 minutes.

How much does it cost?

As we said above, it is a free service offered by the Dénia City Council since 2021 that complements the public parking. The objective of this is to avoid the overcrowding of vehicles in the final section of Les Rotes.

Where does it come from and where does it stop?

The Denia tourist train departs from the Les Rotes public car park, located near Punta Negra beach, on the Barranc del Monyo road. The route has only two stops, the parking lot and Les Arenetes beach, where the circulation of vehicles is limited during the summer season.

Another bungling of the Dénia Government Team and they go… ..

  2. Toñi says:

Today, Thursday, August 4, 2022, we have been waiting for the train driver from 13:40 p.m. to 14:10 p.m. and he has not arrived. The last trip is supposed to be at 14:00 but, although the train was at the beach stop, the driver did not show up. We have asked the lifeguard and the restaurants next door and they confirm that this man is going to eat before 14:00 p.m. and does not make the next trip until 16:00 p.m. All of us who were waiting, families with children and elderly people, have had to make the journey on foot to the parking lot, loaded with beach utensils and in the heat of that hour. If the service does not exist, one already knows that it is exposed but if it exists, what is expected is that it complies with the announced schedule and if not, that they change the schedule but it is not admissible that they leave lying around people who do not have the facility to do the I treat on foot

The scheduled time is not met, there is no right. It is announced until 14:13,30 p.m. in the morning, the truth is that there is no return service from before 25:14 p.m. We were waiting XNUMX minutes until XNUMXpm. to discover that there was no longer service. They had to make public the departure times of the last trains.
Lack of interest in the service and contempt for users

  4. IgnacioG says:

Why do you have such office hours? Can we imagine cities like Valencia or Barcelona stopping all public transport at noon? The schedule is uninterrupted with work shifts. And don't come saying that you don't have money to pay more staff when you have just requested a "credit" of €220.000 exclusively for Parties.

  5. Paloma says:

Better would be a minibus and that the route was from the parking lot of the Marina, before Marineta Casiana, so more cars would be avoided throughout all of Las Rotas, I say!
Do we have data on that tourist train from last year? How many people used it? It would be interesting!
