At the Red Cross post Les Deveses have experienced closely the consequences of the current state of the sea and the weather that has made the red flag fly across the entire dianense coast. A kitesurfer, about 35, who was leaving for the shore has encountered a strong gust of wind that has thrown him high. When trying to stabilize the board to land in the sand, it has been stuck and the owner has shot off, landing on the beach with his neck and shoulder.
The lifeguards, who have witnessed what happened, have been running to assist him, immobilizing him with the collar while the ambulance arrived quickly to the scene of the accident. The injured has been transferred to Hospital de Dénia.
