Around 17:30 p.m. a fire broke out in the Camí de l'Assagador area of Palmar de Dénia, in the marjal-las marinas area.
The first data provided by the Emergency Coordination Center of the Valencian Community indicate that it is a situation 1 vegetation and cane fire, with a potential severity index of 1.
The fire has occurred near homes, about 500 meters away, according to sources from the Fire Department. This fact has been the one that has caused situation 1 of the PEIF to be established at 18:10 hours, although there are no records, for the moment, that there have been evacuations or there have been injuries.
At 19:05 p.m. the fire has been considered controlled and at the moment they are still working on the extinction work and traffic continues to be cut off in this area of Dénia.
For the extinction of this fire, Emergencies of the Generalitat Valenciana have been mobilized: two forest fire units, four fire departments of the Diputación de Alicante del Parque de Dénia, an aerial medium and two helicopter units, two fire engines (one forest and one rural, both heavy) and a forestry coordinator. Agents from the Dénia Local Police have also attended.
At 21:23 p.m., as reported by Emergencies of the Generalitat, all the means mobilized for extinction were withdrawn except for a unit of Forest Firefighters. Finally, the fire has been extinguished during the early hours of Saturday.
