La Fundació Qualitat per l 'Educació has selected Dénia among 10 municipalities of the Region to carry out, during the next quarter, the activity "Saturdays in english".
Yesterday afternoon, Councilman Juan Sancho education and Fernando León, manager of the Foundation per la Qualitat de l'Educació Director met with parents of students selected in the auditorium of the Municipal House of Culture to explain the activities to be carried out.
Aimed at students who obtained good overall academic records 1º of that and will take 2º ESO 2010-2011 during the course, "Saturdays in Inglés" will offer selected students the opportunity to conduct activities in English.
Initially the activity is scheduled for the first quarter of the year, even if the results are positive might be possible to extend it another quarter to reward the best records in the first quarter 2010-2011 course.
Students will be divided into two groups to be divided between the Vessanes College and Colegio Llebeig, and will be four teachers over the activities will be: Juan Vicente Fornés, Marta Broch, Joaquina Donderis and Lydia Escolano, which through games , cultural visits and much oral practice immerse students in Anglo-Saxon culture. In addition, a festival will be held at the end of the activity in which students can demonstrate the knowledge acquired.
"Saturdays in Inglés" will begin on September 25 and Saturday mornings in Vessanes and Llebeig Schools until Saturday December 18 be held.
