05 September 2019 - 09: 32

In the French mountain of Montblanc one of the races framed in the so-called world top of the trail, the UTMB, was held in which there were two athletes from the Athletics Club Baleària Diànium: Santi Cambra and Pere Serra.

The race, with departure in the Swiss city of Orssieres and with arrival in the French of Chamonix, has a route of 56 kilometers with 3.500 meters of positive slope. In this edition, 1.600 runners met on the starting line, of which 130 could not complete the test.

The Dianense athletes came out with great caution, running a race from less to more. They did it with a calm rhythm, facing the test and that allowed them to be advancing positions throughout the race without too much wear.

Santi Cambra passed the first control in the 740 position and reached the finish line in the 302 position, in a very fast final descent. His total time was 8: 47.25. For his part, Pere Serra finished the race in the 673 position, with a final time of 10: 22.06.

The race was marked by high temperature, although it cooled a little with the rain that came during the last kilometers. Once again, the atmosphere was something spectacular that impacted the two Athletics Club athletes Baleària Diànium.
