They rescue two disoriented and lost women in the Montgó

This afternoon, around 15:30 p.m., the Alicante Provincial Firefighters Consortium had to mobilize one of its A1 helicopters to rescue two disoriented women in the It montgó. Both people had gotten lost on the route they were following, although they were not injured. Finally, the helicopter was unable to maneuver due to the wind, so the rescue was by land, guiding them down.

The two women, aged 40 and 42, were on the slopes of the Aguaderas ravine. By getting lost, they have not been able to return to the path and have entered a more dangerous and difficult to access area.

They had no water, but by taking their mobile phone with them they have managed to send the coordinates to be able to locate them. During the descent they have been provided with water to recover strength. The operation is currently ongoing.

At 15:30 at the top of the Montgó with all the solada and without water….they would have to fine them in addition to paying for the helicopter and the bottle of water. Plus a course on how not to confuse hiking with a walk in the countryside. What do people think?

I live in the Montgó and I climb the Montgó many times. Unfortunately, I also often see people going up with flip flops, without a backpack, which also means without water.

Auf den Montgo hoch zu wandern ist keine leicht Wanderung obwohl die Wanderwege gut gekenntzeichnet sind und man sollte immer gutes Schuhwerk und genug Wasser dabei haben.

All the routes should be marked because it is easy to get lost if you do not know the terrain. Put little arrows painted on some stones. It is useless.
