Compromís with the support of political groups (PSPV, PP, Citizens and Gent of Dénia) presents a motion in the ordinary plenary session of September, which is presented today, urging the Ministry of Health and the management of the Dénia health area to create a breastfeeding unit.
This motion comes from the Grup Nodrissa, an association of mothers who since 2007 advise, inform and help mothers with difficulties in breastfeeding their son or daughter. This fundamental task for many mothers is carried out through workshops in which advisory mothers help others who have recently become advisors.
On many occasions, these workshops require a lot of time and personalized dedication, which is why both the Nodrissa Group and the Municipal Corporation of the Dénia City Council request the start-up of a breastfeeding unit in the Dénia health area, in which these situations can be addressed in a global, optimal and multidisciplinary way, by health professionals updated on the subject and specifically trained in this subject.
