The cook and businessman Quique Dacosta, which has 5 Michelin stars distributed between its restaurant in Dénia and El Poblet, has announced that it will be the gastronomic manager of the new Mandarin Oriental Ritz Madrid, which will open its doors this summer. After the largest restoration in the 110-year history of this emblematic hotel, the luxurious multinational hotel entrusts the creation and management of its culinary area to one of the best chefs in our country, gastronomic ambassador par excellence of the Marina Alta.

Under the spectacular restored glass dome roof is the Palm Court that will house a restaurant with classic cuisine and the afternoon tea will be served upstairs. In the Ritz Bar you can enjoy the cocktail bar with the most cosmopolitan atmosphere of the city. In the famous and renovated hotel garden, the Ritz Garden, which can be accessed from the street, the chef will offer his most casual, fresh and dynamic version. One of the most exclusive points will be the Champagne Bar for only twelve people. The hotel's flagship restaurant will offer the most committed proposal with culinary art that has marked the style of the chef's cuisine, a totally differentiated offer to the one created annually at the three Michelin-star restaurant of Quique Dacosta in Dénia.

In addition, the hotel will feature the Felipe IV lounge and the Royal lounge to host any type of event, for which the chef has designed a different offer for each occasion.

“It is an exciting challenge for me. Madrid is a city to which I have a lot of love and respect and for which we are creating a very solid and at the same time ambitious project in which we put a lot of enthusiasm. I am very excited for this opportunity to work on developing unique experiences in an emblematic place, of national and international reference, a hotel completely open to the city of Madrid ”, said the cook.

“His passion for offering much more than a gastronomic experience, with his sense of creativity and unique character, fits perfectly with our work to fully satisfy our guests”, said Gérard Sintès, General Director of Mandarin Oriental Ritz Madrid in reference to Quique Dacosta.
