What will happen after the fall of the state of alarm in the Valencian Community?

May 05 from 2021 - 09: 42

The autonomous governments of all Spain have their sights set on the early morning of next Sunday, when their main asset to control the expansion of the coronavirus will disappear.

The state of alarm will come to an end on May 10 as announced since it was established. After this, the legal support for many restrictions will fall, so the autonomies will have to readjust their health regulations according to a new legal framework or, as some prepare, look for alternatives to be able to perpetuate the measures.

In the Valencian Community, the government of Ximo Puig It has already announced that together with the state of alarm, the perimeter confinement that has prevented movement beyond the Valencian borders since the end of last year will disappear. This means that, in addition to being able to travel to the rest of Spain again, they will also be able to come from abroad to visit and thus boost national tourism that they hope will save the summer in destinations like Dénia.

Now, what will happen to the curfew? This is the other great measure that seemed to be maintained only thanks to this decree, but Puig has assured that he will do everything possible to keep it standing. How? The Consell will try, as it did in October, to obtain the endorsement of the Superior Court of Justice of the Valencian Community. Of course, everything indicates that the start time of the restriction to night mobility will be delayed, although it will not be confirmed until the interdepartmental meeting on Thursday.

Regarding the other measures currently in force, it is expected that there will not be any obstacles to their application despite the absence of a state of alarm.
