Presented the XIII 8 Christmas football tournament «City of Dénia»

The teams of Real Betis and Albacete Balompíe are the attractions in the XIII Tournament of Christmas "City of Dénia de Fútbol 8". It is a competition for the Benjamin and Alevín categories, which will take place on December 8 at the Rodat field.

In the tournament will take part a total of 8 teams that have been divided in two groups. In Group A have been framed; Alcoyano, Hercules, Valencia and EM Denia. While Group B is formed; City Benidorm, Real Betis, Albacete and Villarreal.

The tournament will have its start at 9 hours and during the morning will play the league matches all against all. The duration of each match will be 25 minutes to clock running and without rest.

Once all the games have been played, there will be a break to eat at the facilities of the Cervantes School. The matches that will give rise to the rankings are resumed in the afternoon. The first to be played will be to elucidate the 8º and 7º put and so on until the top two finishers in each group play the grand final.

The final category of young Benjamin will be played at 19 hours and that of Alevín will be at 19`50. In them the time will be two times of 25 minutes with rest. In the event of a tie, an extra 10 minute will be played and if there is still equality, there would be a penalty shoot-out.

There will be a trophy for the top three qualifiers and medals for the remaining five teams. Also the most successful team, the two goalkeepers less thrashed and the best player of the tournament.


In the presentation in which the mayor of sports were present Juan Carlos Signes And the Director of the Municipal School of Soccer, Miguel Garcia de la Reina. Signes stressed, "It is a tournament deeply rooted in the national calendar to which many teams want to participate. We have decided in this edition to dispense with some nearby teams to bring two quarries as important as they are, that of Betis and Albacete."

For his part, García de la Reina said, "it is necessary to thank the effort that parents have made to carry out this tournament. Without their work it would have been impossible. As well as to thank the Red Cross, Colegio Cervantes, Peña Betica Dianense who have facilitated many things to be able to count on the Sevilla team. "
