Concern about the purchase of Marina Salud shares: 'No concession company can hold more than 40% of the shares'

15 September 2021 - 10: 27

The CSIF (Central Sindical Independiente y de Servants) and the president of the Health Sector of the province of Alicante, Cecilia Meliá Beigber, ask the measures to be adopted after knowing the purchasea of actions of the Marina Salud department by Ribera Salud to DKV. This question has been raised by means of a letter to the Minister of Universal Health and Public Health, Ana Barceló.

The letter states: "According to the Valencian Public Health Law, no concession company can hold more than 40% of the shares." The problem is that Ribera Salud has bought 100% of the shares. For this reason, the writing shows that thus they hold "a clear position of dominance".

So, the Alicante Health Sector and the CSIF are concerned about whether this purchase of shares may affect the future reversal of the Department of Dénia. One of the most worrying questions, too, is whether there will be any impact on current workers from the Department.

  1. I xelo says:

Citizens want health to be public and not in private hands.
You cannot do business with our Health.
If Ribera Salud has bought 100% of the shares and it is against the Law, that the purchase be invalidated by the courts.
We want the Denia Hospital to be public now !!
