The mall Portal de la Marina hosted this Thursday, for the second consecutive year, the presentation of the festival MontgoRockTo be held in Jávea the next 10 and 11 for May. The center's manager, Carlos Fita, highlighted the complex's support for the dissemination of culture, sports and music.
The seventh edition of this consolidated festival was born as the most parity of all those celebrated to date. Since the organization so proposed, and have made a poster in which 50% of groups have female representation.
Bebe, Carlos Tarque, Iván Ferreiro, La Fuga, Virginia Maestro or Badlands are some of the protagonists of this edition. Precisely the last two names, Virginia Maestro and Badlands, acted in acoustic during the presentation of the festival.
For Virginia Maestro it is the first time in MontgoRock acting, but previous years she has been as a spectator in the festival. The singer showed "Delighted to share the stage with such good musicians" and he acknowledged having "you want a lot of music". For his part, May de Badlands recalled that this is the third edition in which they participate and stressed that MontgoRock sets a precedent for other festivals for their commitment to equality.
In the presentation was present the councilor of equality of the City of Xàbia, Montse Villaverde, who defined MontgoRock as a festival "serious, responsible and that brings very positive values". He also highlighted the great involvement of all the participating groups in the fight for equality. The Town Hall of Xàbia will be present on festival days with its campaign "I put the batteries for equality".
This year, as a novelty, the festival presents a change of venue, with a different and more dynamic access. Next Monday will be published the schedules of the concerts and on Wednesday, the plan of the venue.
The last tickets that remain for sale can be purchased on the Festival's website, at the Portal de la Marina shopping center or, for those registered in Xàbia, at the municipality's tourism offices. Last year, near 15.000 people attended the Montgorock concerts in Xàbia.
