The Real Club Náutico de Dénia traveled to Benidorm with its Optimist B team to participate in the XLVI Trophy Christmas Nautical activities organized by the Benidorm Nautical Club.
Laia Martínez, Julia Martínez, Sara Belinchón, María Sala, Emma Albrecht, Julia Bayo, Elena Colom, Daniel Kauss, Pablo Bayo, Jaume Castaño, Antonio Sanchis, Adrián Camino, Fadrique Álvarez, Mark Selfa, Salvador Cogollos and Diego Cogollos have been summoned athletes.
In two days they were marked by good wind conditions, although the forecasts pointed to the contrary, being able to hold the 6 tests planned in the two days of competition. On the first day 3 were made with a wind between 6 and 8 knots of Gregal and 3 more tests on the second day, with a wind between 10 and 12 knots of Levante.
With a total of 133 registered participants of Optimist B, Elena Colom obtained the first female position, being 3rd in the absolute general, and Jaume Castaño obtained the 2nd male position, being also 2nd in the absolute general, in this scoring regatta for the ranking of the Sailing Federation of the Valencian Community.
