The councilors of Podemos in the City of Dénia, Álex Rodenkirchen and Julio Palacios, have agreed to cede the budget that was going to be allocated to the special delegations of his group to the area of Social Welfare.
There is a total of 22.982 euros that initially went to the group secretary, a charge that the councilors do not have, which will now be added to the social services budget.
Rodenkirchen has clarified that "The Rajoy government prevents municipalities from increasing social investment, whose purpose is to help those most in need to get ahead. That is why we believe that the Social Welfare Area is the best destination for that amount that had been available.".
Both Álex Rodenkirchen and Julio Palacios have supported Dénia's municipal budgets for 2018, whose approval has gone forward with the votes in favor of the government team, GDCU and the councilors of Podemos, and the abstention of the PP and Citizens.
Congratulations to Podemos for your honest and successful decision.
