They try a man accused of trafficking in drugs and of putting into circulation several counterfeit 50 euro bills. The events took place on October 12, 2015 in a pub in Dénia where the defendant was with two friends, also accused in this procedure, to whom he provided the false bills to pay for their drinks.

After handing in up to seven 50-euro bills, the owner of the establishment suspected it was false and notified the police. After searching the man, the agents seized nine banknotes, including those intervened at the defendant and those located in the cash register.

Some time later, in the entry and search carried out at the home of the main defendant, the agents located another 23 counterfeit bills and 6 grams of MDMA, a substance that, according to the prosecutor, the defendant intended to use for sale in the illicit market.

The public prosecution asks for the main defendant a sentence of six and a half years in prison for a crime of possession of counterfeit currency and three years and three months for a crime against public health. For the other two defendants, he requests a fine of 540 euros as perpetrators of a minor crime.
