Record of the VI Dramatic Writing Contest «Curt de Teatre»

The sixth edition of the drama writing contest "Curt de Teatre" already have winners. A total of 99 works have been presented, both in Spanish and Valencian; just double that in the last edition.

In the School category, for participants under 18 years of age registered in a municipality of the Marina Alta, the work Play 4, by Rubén Ribes, student of the IES Antoni Llidó de Xàbia, in Spanish, and Zorra, by Hugo Fernández, from IES No. 1 in Xàbia, in the Valencian language. Both will receive a cash prize of 200 euros.

The finalists in this category for children under 18 in Spanish have been, ex aequo by decision of the jury, Ismael Soldevilla, student of IES No. 1 of Xàbia, for the story Disguised love and Vicent Bisquert, student of the special education school Raquel Payá de Dénia, for his work The mask. In Valencian language, the student of the IES of Pedreguer Ovidi Monsonís has been a finalist with the work La por.

In the Adult category, in which any person over 18 years of age in the Spanish State can participate, the winners have been Carlos Durá, from Valencia, for their work Maybe after summer, in Spanish; and Isaac Badía, from Barcelona, ​​with the story Pedagogues, in the Valencian language. The winners of this category will receive a prize consisting of 300 euros in cash and a trip for two to any destination of the shipping company Baleària, collaborator of the contest.

The finalists in Adults are Carolina Ramos, from Seville, for The chair, in Spanish, and Manuel Pérez, from Valencia, for the work in Valencian Call Center.

The winning works in each category will be represented in the auditorium of the Dénia Social Center on March 28, 2020, at 20 p.m. The assemblies of the School category will be represented by theater groups in the region. In the case of the works of the category Adults, the theater group that represents them can be proposed by the winners.

The jury of the sixth edition of the contest has been formed by Esperanza Salvatierra, a retired teacher; Arturo Ruiz, journalist; Jovi Lozano, writer and manager of MACMA; Fina Doménech, secondary school teacher; Davinia Lekeux, actress; Imma Sancho, actress, and Juan Luis López, of the Teamorfosis Association, who has acted as secretary, with presence, but without vote.

The drama writing contest "Curt de Teatre" is organized by the Department of Culture of the City Council of Dénia and the Teamorfosis Association, with the support of the collaborators Fundació Baleària, MACMA, Canfali Marina Alta, Cadena Ser, La Marina Plaza and the Montgó association on stage.
