Popular Opinion Dénia: «Participatory Budgets of posture?»

10 September 2020 - 14: 06

Thanks to the absolute majority of PSOE, today's plenary session has approved a modification of credits, that is: it is going to withdraw money from a specific item to allocate it to another. He Party has voted against and has done so for the following reasons:

  • That money was going to be used to condition the rainwater in the Faroleta-Diana area, and now it will not be done.
  • That money was also to be used to make road improvements to Las Rotas, and now it will not be done.
  • That money was going to be used to widen sidewalks, but it won't be done now.

In exchange for NOT doing the rainwater, NOT improving the Las Rotas road and NOT widening the sidewalks, what are we Dianenses going to get for the money we pay with our taxes, such as the IBI, and whose receipt has gone up this year?

Well, what the government team has just approved is to change NOW the signage of the beaches to adapt them to COVID19 (yes, now), throw some partitions in the old Baix la Mar reading agency to expand the Urban Planning offices and remove other partitions in the current Urban Planning units to create a more open space.

The projects that we Dianenses renounce (the sidewalks, the rainwater, the roads) are necessary and even urgent, and they had also been chosen by the neighbors themselves within the participatory budgets that the PSOE Government Team presumes so much.

The projects that are going to be done now thanks to the absolute majority of the PSOE, were not chosen by the neighbors, in some cases they arrive late (the posters of the beaches NOW) and in the others they can wait for the budgets of 2021, because we do not put in doubt that they are necessary, but of course they are not urgent.

In a previous comment I wrote about the need to implement in Denia little by little an effective rainwater collection system, the issue is extremely urgent and I am surprised that it has been replaced by others that, being also necessary, are not so urgent
