Opinion Miguel Llobell (GDCU): «Looking the other way»

26 October 2015 - 15: 51

One of the star themes of the last electoral campaign was the health, even knowing that this competition does not depend on the City of Dénia, is the Generalitat Valenciana. But that did not matter, the question was to get votes, in whatever way was necessary.

Both the PSPVCompromis, like CET (Podemos), hastened to promise during the election campaign that if they ruled, they would cause the contract with Marina Salud, the current service concessionaire, to be reversed, "Simply by making them fulfill their commitments, they have to leave, and without paying them anything, because they have not fulfilled." With these words, a leader of the PSPV, committed herself in the meeting called by the Platform for the Defense of Public Health of the Marina Alta, if his political party governed in our city.

Miguel Llobell

At Castell Pact for governance of Denia, one of the points agreed between PSPV and was the Compromis "require the sanitary concessionaire to comply with each of the points to which it was committed in the contract, among which is the construction of a second Health Center". He no longer was so sharp reversal in the concession.

A few months later, the Regional Minister of Health, Carmen Stack, visit Dénia indicating that the priority of the Government is to meet the specifications of the administrative concession, not terminate the concession. A few days later, Compromis calls a demonstration with all councilors of the Marina Alta and presents a roadmap marking the steps to reverse the concession. Councilors Dénia not attend any.

All this chronology only shows us a fact for sure. If the government partners in the City Hall of Dénia are not able to fulfill their commitments among themselves, imagine the citizens. Only the health is concerned to get votes and once you have it, you look the other way, leaving only Dénia's neighbors harmed. Because the neighbors of Dénia are those who remain on average for six hours in the emergency department to be treated. Because it is they who are referred to other centers instead of being transferred to HACLE de la Pedrera. Because it is they who are included in eternal waiting lists of all kinds, operations, RX, TAC, etc ...

The construction of the second health center, it is vital to address the north of our city, besides being one of the commitments contained in the tender hiring Marina Salud. There lot of citizens are concentrated, multiplied by 10 in summer. A Dianense living on the street Furs, for instance, must traverse the entire city to be served, if you have been lucky and have not assigned the center of La Pedrera. And that can not afford it.

Installing a place in Las Marinas during the summer is a patch that ends up paying the City of Denia, as indicated above, without skills Health. Providing service is an obligation of rulers, and it is recalled that the previous government of PSPV - Compromis spent about 10 million euros on a plot in Avd Miguel Hernández for installation, not to put a playground without opening from. six months or a bus station does.
