Opinion María Mut: «Memories of our childhood: the game of the city»

22 June 2018 - 07: 57

A friend commented to me a week ago, with much irony in this of the subject of the works, that was returning to its childhood, to the time that of the boys scouts or the mountaineers, when one of our majors diversions (there were no electronic devices in that time) consisted of THE GAME OF THE CITY.

Do you remember and you remember, those of us who are in the middle age and who caught us this time back there through the 80?

The game consisted in crossing the city following the clues that were given to us to find the hidden treasure. It was hilarious and it sharpened our intelligence. In the end, the team that was the winner, got the precious treasure for which everyone fought, which was usually the odd badge that we wore on our lapel with an overflowing pride.

Well, look, today, and for several months, this is the game that we play every day most of Denia's neighbors and all those who visit us. And how do we play?

These are the rules of the game:

1.- We must plan in advance the route we want to take each day.
2.- We must leave the house in advance to be able to overcome the obstacles that we encounter each day.
3.- We crossed the fingers of good morning to see if today we do not find so many piles of sand, or dust in the street, or so many streets cut.
4.- Despite the heat, we decided to wear the chirucas to reach the end of the journey.
5.- We go around and around and around with the car, while we admire our wonderful city upside down, without getting too distracted to see if we can find a parking space, because some of us do not live in the center of the city and we do not have any More remedy than to come with our vehicle.

And when we have contemplated with astonishment the chaos in which Denia has become for months and we have observed that, unfortunately, some other trade has closed its doors ... .. We find the TREASURE.

What is the treasure? You will have discovered it throughout the article: we have arrived, safe and sound, to our goal and, to top it off, we have found a place to be able to let our car rest while it is filled with dust that is conquering our city.

Yes, yes, that the works are necessary to make a more beautiful Denia, I do not deny it, but ... could not this chaos have been avoided with better planning so that we did not play every day in search of treasure?

I hope everything is finished by …… I don't understand the rush, if there was time until June 19. I like the game. It pretty much fits the harsh reality.

I hope they fix the bus station well
