New victory of the Senior Women against Joventut Xàbia in the Preferred Championship

February 06 from 2023 - 11: 18

The Senior Women team of Dénia Básquet Club won in its last match against Joventut Xàbia in the Preferred Championship. The game was played at home, in the Joan Fuster pavilion, with a final result of 90-35.

The match began without sufficient defensive activity, which allowed the first quarter to be the most even of the game. It was enough for those of Dénia to increase their concentration so that the difficulties disappeared and they did not give any facility to the visitors from there.

The differences grew gradually as the match progressed until reaching the final result.

Next week they will visit the Ondara court, a team that greatly complicated the victory on the last visit and against whom the Dianense team will try to prolong their unbeaten status for another week.

DBC SUMA Senior Male 1 National

For its part, the DBC SUMA Senior Masculino 1 Nacional defeated Nou Bàsquet Alcoi in the Dénia Joan Fuster pavilion, with a result of 80-64 and thus retaking the pulse of the competition.

Those led by Eduardo Clavero and Pascual Miralles started the match with a lot of rhythm, fueled by the intensity with which they worked in defence. The success from the triple of the visitors allowed them to maintain equality, while winning the match in interest and quality.

The success in the last attacks and a new momentum during the second period, thanks to the fact that the bench rotations managed to maintain the level of play, made those from Dénia arrive at half-time with a ten-point lead (45-35).

The team saved the best for the restart, linking in the third period some of the best minutes of the entire season. The offensive efficiency and the solidity with which they defended completely overwhelmed those from Alcoi, opening a gap in the score that reached a difference of twenty-two points.

The visitors did not lower their arms at any time and took advantage of Dianense's relaxation in the last three minutes to cut the differences, until leaving them at the sixteen points with which the match ended.

Next week the team will have a new important commitment on the Terralfas field for the final classification of the group. The differences in the classification continue to be minimal between practically all the teams and a win away from home could be essential to settle in the positions that give access to the qualifying rounds for promotion to the EBA league.
