Nicolás Leblay Valdés is crowned the winner of the Dénia Red Shrimp International Creative Cooking Contest

Chef Nicolás Leblay Valdés from the Atelier-Robuchón restaurant in Madrid has been proclaimed the winner of the XI edition of the Dénia Red Shrimp International Creative Cooking Contest. Nicolás Leblay Valdés has impressed the jury with his creation, an exquisite combination of flavors and textures in which the red shrimp from Dénia has been the undisputed protagonist.

The jury, made up of renowned culinary experts, chefs and food critics, has highlighted the originality and quality of chef Nicolás Leblay Valdés' proposal, who has managed to merge tradition and innovation in his dish. Thanks to this, he has won the first prize, endowed with 2.500 euros and a sculpture by the artist Toni Marí.

Third place went to Juan Francisco Pérez García, from Espacio Montoro in Alicante, while second place went to Cristina Gómez Manarel, from Fierro de València.

76 novice chefs and cooks from all over Spain have registered in the contest, and the eight finalists have presented their creations under the watchful eye of the curious who have come to the Dénia Municipal Market. With this victory, Nicolás Leblay Valdés establishes himself as one of the great talents of Spanish creative cuisine and adds a prestigious award to his career.
