Since, in 1992, the International Festival of Traditional and Popular Music at Castell, the quality of its programming has been raising the level to become the benchmark of summer culture in Dénia.
28 later editions, the festival has reinvented itself, has premiered new stages and has discovered great talents from all over the world to the public that crowds, year after year, the esplanade of the Governor of the Dénia Castle. As has been happening in recent years, the festival will combine central performances at the Castell, with free performances at the Plaza del Consell and entertainment on the streets of Dénia on concert mornings.
The performances of 2019
This year, the performances will take place between the 15 and the 21 in July. The Monday July 15, the rock band percussion group Batu Katuba will announce the start of the festival with a parade by Diana, Marqués de Campo and Plaza del Convent, between the 20: 30 and the 22: 30 hours.

Tickets for the concerts of the 18, 19 and 20 days of July have a unit price of 15 euros. A subscription for the three performances is also on sale at a price of 40 euros. Tickets can be purchased on the online platform Instanticket, in the offices of Turismo Dénia in the Plaza del Consell and in the Oculist Buigues square or in the castle box office two hours before each performance.
The technique of Culture, Maribel Font, together with the councilor for culture, Rafa Carrió, has reminded that the access of people with reduced mobility to the top of the castle where the concerts take place is guaranteed, since they can reach the area by car.
