The councilor of beaches, Pepe Doménech, has taken stock this week on the management of the cleaning of the beaches in July. During this month, the concessionaire company has collected a total of 1.220 tons in the various beaches of the municipal area.
As explained by the councilman, in addition to the collection of tons, also acts in the removal of plastics, and other waste deposited in the sand, manually every day. In the middle of the morning, three operators check the coast and collect the waste.
In addition, Doménech explained that after the hangover in recent days, the cleaning service has returned to go over the rock beach of the Rotates. Due to the characteristics of the area, cleaning has to be done manually and with a clamshell, as the councilman explained to this media last week, and 35 tons of algae have been extracted in this area.
