The neighborhood representative mario vidal has been named as a candidate for mayor by Gent of Dénia in the next municipal elections on May 28.
Vidal fought for the candidacy with Julio Quintana, who retired from the race for the candidacy during the general assembly held last Tuesday at the party headquarters. Quintana said that it was available to the party and that he believed that Vidal had "greater social background and experience."
Vidal, for his part, thanked the support of his rival and invited him to be part of the project. He also showed his gratitude to the party for the good reception he has had since a few months ago became an affiliate.
The next step is the elaboration of the electoral program, which will be prepared based on decisions agreed by the members of the party.
Mario Vidal Sastre, of 54 years, Technical Architect by profession, municipal technician in the City Councils of Els Poblets and Pego during 10 year, who practices as a liberal professional for more than 25 years. Vidal is closely linked to the neighborhood movement, being from 2013 president of the Associació de veïns del Montgó and the Federation of Neighborhood Associations of Dénia.
Inauguration of its "Friendly Headquarters"
This Friday, 8 day, Gent de Dénia celebrates Women's Day by inaugurating its Campaign Headquarters or "Friend Headquarters" located next to the official headquarters of Passeig del Saladar, 69. A dinner and tasting of Valencian wines will be served.
