The Dénia Health Department –DSD- has been accredited as a Teaching Unit of the Pediatric Specialty by the Ministry of Health to train future specialist doctors and nurses.
The Multiprofessional Teaching Unit of the Pediatrics Service is accredited with two positions: a resident position in the medical specialty of Pediatrics and another in Pediatric Nursing. In addition to the stay at the Hospital de DéniaWithin their training itineraries, training by Primary Care and by other hospitals of the Valencian Health Network is contemplated.
The offer of the Dénia Health Department is thus expanded to a total of 14 places for Resident Internal Physicians (MIR) and 3 for Resident Internal Nurses (EIR), divided into the following specialties: one place in Gynecology, two places in Internal Medicine , two places for Anesthesiology and Resuscitation, eight places for Family and Community Medicine Physician, one place for a Pediatric Specialist, one place for pediatric nursing and two places for midwives.
The accreditation of the Pediatric Teaching Unit is a sample of the commitment of the Department of Health of Dénia for its teaching activity and is a boost to the training of health professionals.
