This morning he appeared at Marina de Denia the solidarity event Weekend Sail Training, organized by the foundation Awake Water For Kids and in which the nautical collaborates Punta Estrella Yacht Services.
The director of Marina de Dénia, Gabriel Martínez, has welcomed this idea and has shown his support, "since it combines solidarity and nautical".
The event will be held from October 31 to November 2. The first two days, from 10 a.m. to 17 p.m., there will be an intensive sailing training, around Dénia and Xàbia and on November 2 there will be a crossing. The boats that Punta Estrella has selected are of a new generation, "To participate it is not necessary to have knowledge of navigation since we will put the instructors, we want people to have a good time and at the same time learn to navigate", says Sam Spencer-White, manager of Punta Estrella.
For her part, Thea Pernack, co-founder of Awake Water For Kids, explained that this initiative is to support the Valencian NGO, Kassumay and its Social Vision Projet project, an initiative promoted by the illustrator Daud with the desire to improve the conditions of life of children in children in Senegal. "We want to help these children integrate into Senegalese life both socially and professionally, facilitating access to education, through artistic pedagogy and professional training". Everything that is collected in the Weekend Sail Training will go to this project.
