Going back to the Valencian de-escalation: this is how the new restrictions are in the Region

08 July 2021 - 14: 17

The incidence of the coronavirus in the Valencian Community is unleashed. When the situation seemed most optimistic, a new wave of infections arrives to remind us that the pandemic is still present. And that's the way it is, be it summer or any other season.

Most of the outbreaks that are appearing are attributed to youth events or social gatherings of those under 35 years of age. This is an age group that has not yet been vaccinated, so they are much more exposed to the coronavirus.

In order to prevent the COVID from continuing to spread, the Consell has decided to close the nightlife scene again, which was closed since the second wave, last August, and had not reopened until a few weeks ago. Therefore, discos and pubs will have to wait until the situation improves.

On the other hand, the hospitality industry brings closure to 00:30, and the maximum number of people per table indoors is reduced to 6 and outdoors it remains at 10.

Massive shows in open spaces will have a maximum capacity of 3.000 people and 2.000 indoors.

This package of restrictions will not wait until next week to come into force, but will do so from Saturday to prevent the situation from continuing to spiral out of control, and will remain until July 25.

Restrictions requested from the TSJ

In addition, the Council will ask the Justice to establish a curfew from 01:00 to 06:00 to the 40 municipalities with the highest incidence of the coronavirus.

In the same way, they will ask to limit the participants of social gatherings to 10, either in private or in public spaces.

Summer is here and this whole situation was to be expected, if anyone is surprised it is that they have no idea how society works. Why is someone surprised?
