Dénia residents face an increase in their sewage bills to finance new construction projects.

14 March 2025 - 14: 13

El Municipal Water Service of Dénia projects various improvements in sanitation facilities and infrastructure of the city, which implies that the sewerage rate will be reviewed in a 7,50%. This translates into a increase of about 30 cents per month for average consumption. With this increase, improvements can be made and the current network replacement fund can be increased. 120.000 euros to 250.000 euros.

Planned works and actions

Specifically, work will soon begin on a new pumping station on Mar Jónica street, in Marines, in order to provide service to 120 homes and connect them to the municipal sewage network.

Also, in the month of May It is planned to carry out the works of trenchless rehabilitation of the sewer collectors on Consolat del Mar Street. In total, they will be rehabilitated 320 meters of 600-millimeter diameter concrete pipe in the pumping environment of the Cagarritar, in order to eliminate the intrusion of saline water in the sewage system and prevent incidents that occur for this reason in the equipment and facilities of the Dénia-Ondara-Pedreguer wastewater treatment plant.

These actions include a Total budget of 600.000 euros, which will be executed with several annual payments from the fund.

Subit, raise, raise, they only think about raising taxes.
The water bill in Denia is already quite expensive, considering that the water is not suitable for drinking or cooking, and sometimes not even for showering, since sometimes the skin reacts after a shower.
Is the city council considering refunding citizens for the expense they incur by buying bottled water? Would that be the fair thing to do?
And we will see the cahouza they make, see the background in Montgó

How shameless they have been without sewage in Las Rotas for 50 years, paying fixed and variable rates (depending on consumption), and now we have to finance improvements to the Marinas, and we will continue to pay for the removal of the sewage from our septic tanks. They have not been able to request the necessary loans when funds from the European Union have been available. IT'S ALL CLEAR, THE CITY COUNCIL DOESN'T CARE, IN THE END OF THE DAY THEY ARE SUPPLIED WITH THE TAXES WE ALL PAY, AND AHHHHH MYSTERY, THEIR PARTNER FCC POCKETS THE MONEY FROM ITS 49%. THEY HAVE BEEN PREVARICATING FOR MORE THAN 50 YEARS AND ANYTHING GOES WELL, OF COURSE THERE IS SOME LAWYER WHO HAS THE BALLS TO REPORT THIS THEFT TO THE NEIGHBORS. WELL, IT SEEMS THEY ARE AFRAID. CRAPPY POLITICAL FAITH AND POLITICIANS
