The professionals of the Department of Health of Dénia have donated 989 kilos of food to the Red Cross to support families in vulnerable situations of the Marina Alta.
Through this gesture, the professionals of the Department of Health of Dénia want to return to the society of the Marina Alta a part of the innumerable samples of solidarity and support received during this time.
This food collection campaign organized in collaboration with the Red Cross aims to help mitigate the food deficiencies of people in vulnerable situations, which, unfortunately, may have increased after the crisis caused by the pandemic.
In the campaign, numerous boxes of food have been collected in the 12 points enabled for this: The Health Centers of Dénia, Ondara, Pego, El Verger, Benissa, Teulada, Calpe, Xàbia, Gata, Pedreguer and Orba and in the Hospital de Dénia. Later the products have been distributed in the different headquarters of the Red Cross of the Region: Calpe, Teulada, Javea and Dénia, who have been very grateful for the initiative.
