The boys and girls of Dénia ask the City Council for bike lanes "to get somewhere and not cut off"

02 June 2021 - 14: 40

Yesterday, Tuesday, the final session of the Children's Council for the 2020/2021 academic year was held in the Library of Dénia; a meeting in which the councilors and counselors, representatives of the 5th and 6th grade primary school students from the city's educational centers, informed the members of the Municipal Corporation of the list of requests drawn up by the boys and girls .

Among the main demands, those related to the demand for leisure activities for their age group, such as, for example, a varied program that includes 'scape room'; an alternative to Dissabtes Joves for a smaller audience, from 11 to 14 years old; cineforum in summer for children; more excursions through natural landscapes; and they asked about the execution deadlines for the 'pumptrack' approved in the Participatory Budgets.

The concern for the environment of the youngest is also evident in the list of proposals: they were interested in whether the city council foresees any measure to clean Dénia and the beaches of cigarette butts and bet on the promotion of volunteering for beach cleaning.

In the area of accessibility, they called for the expansion of the bike lanes "so that they reach somewhere and not cut off"; more off-center car parks in good condition; and traffic lights for the blind.

Mayor, Vicent Grimalt, thanked the little ones for their contributions and invited them to a next meeting, in a period of approximately one month, to offer them concrete answers about the viability of each demand.

Analysis of the parks of Dénia from a children's perspective

On the other hand, the Children's Council presented the survey that the councilors and counselors have prepared to assess the state of the parks and, based on the opinions of the children of Dénia, present proposals for improvement.

Among the questions: if the way to get there is safe, if the installed appliances are in good condition, what novelties would you incorporate, if it is adapted for people with functional diversity or if there is a sink and a drinking water source, among other issues.

When I hand it over to the mayor's secretary in writing, I gave advance notice ... the sidewalks were going to be fixed, the Nautical Club street in general.
I remember that this Club took palm trees that were on the sidewalks ...
Surely many will know what time I am talking about and many more places ... on the Montgo, in the Marinas, in Kas Rotas ... however building and uprooting trees have not stopped doing it ... without considering that there are not even sidewalks ... like the new one construction of minimalist houses on the road to San Juan that you risk your life to pass ... every time it is done ...
    That cries out to heaven!
Very beautiful Denia, but it is full of selfish people who only want to take their innumerable pieces of cake, at whatever cost ...
That urbanization was demolished for being shameless and building a private sidewalk, which has no exit and is full of cars and then pedestrians suffering the consequences ...
Catetos that is what educated people say there is, which is what is most abundant, because they do not know how to do or do not take it into account when approving the new work, with more and more stacked neighbors and taller buildings, near Montgo ...
And do not throw out of the SHOOTING FIELD all those SINSTERGUENZAS that do not stop making NOISE and YOU CANNOT ENJOY A NATURAL PARK OF THESE CHARACTERISTICS, because they do not feel like leaving ...
I propose to the environmentalists and whoever is in favor, we go up with the shotguns to hit shots, until those enclosures are left in absolute silence and NOBODY can ever break it again.
It is a NATURAL park and all those who were there are already in the grave ... those who plum trees later do not have rights to land that is or has to be public to be a NATURAL PARK, as in any country in EUROPE.

    It is a shame!!!
I have been asking for it for thirty years, even in writing, delivered personally to the secretary of the then mayor ...
That all new works include bike lanes ...
There you have the road to San Juan at the entrance to Juan Fuster ... it was left undone ...
What good are the ones that are cut?
They have not considered that they are useless and dangerous?
It is unbearable to enter the urban area and that they have not yet removed all the parking lots and that only traffic is allowed and if someone interrupts the traffic, stopping their vehicle, whoever it is, € 500 fine.
It is a shame not to be able to move, because there is a CAIS and vehicle plugs and there are too many for such a small central area and without free parking for residents.
There is no desire to go shopping ... there is no space, not even to walk ... the space is preferred for parked cars, instead of being able to enter with bike lanes on bicycles, skateboards, motorized wheelchairs, etc.
OUT OF ALL VEHICLES IN THE DOWNTOWN AREA.
    ONLY CIRCULATION
UNDER GROUND PARKING AND PARKS ABOVE THEM, IN THE AREAS CLOSEST TO THE TOWN, JOAN FUSTER INSTEAD OF BUILDINGS.
FIRST HOURS AND LAST DAY LOADING AND UNLOADING.
