The next 23 and 31 of March, the municipalities of Pego and Pedreguer will host the Contest Young Promises of the Marina Alta organized by the XarXa Jove of the region, which will bring together the 17 finalists in the sections of short films, urban dances and singer-songwriters.
This is the first call of this contest, which aims to give the opportunity to young 14 30 years to show their artistic ability.
On 23 day, the Espaï Veïnal de Pego will host the first session, in which the aspirants will perform in the Songwriter and Urban Dance sections from the 19: 00 hours. On March's 31 day, the Short Films section moves to Pedreguer, to Espai Cultural, where nine authors will compete.
In both events, an expert jury will be responsible for choosing the winners in each category, who will take 250 euros.
Xarxa Jove Marina Alta
Three years ago, the municipalities of the Marina Alta joined forces and integrated the youth section to the MACMA. Since then, as explained by the president of the Xarxa, José Ramiro, it has been possible to join forces and share resources to reach the youngest of the region with the common goal of implementing activities for people from all the Marina Alta.
At the press conference for the presentation of the contest, the youth councilors of Benissa, Carol Ivars, accompanied the president of the Xarxa; Pego, Rebeca Bañuls; and Teulada Moraira, Daniel Ibanco, as well as youth technicians from the municipalities that make up MACMA.
