The senior teams of the Dénia Básquet The Club had a busy weekend that left defeats among the ranks of the National Men's Senior, the Regional Women's Senior and the Preferred Men's Senior.
The DBC SUMA National Senior Men's team faced ADESAVI in San Vicent del Raspeig. Despite a disputed match, DBC could not obtain victory, with a final score of 76-64 in favor of ADESAVI. The second period was the turning point, and although DBC attempted a comeback, it was insufficient to overcome the solid home team. Next week, the team will travel again, this time to face Actualia Albubasket.
The DBC Autonomous Women's Senior also had a home match against CB Benidorm. After a good start, DBC had the game under control at the break with a 29-17 lead. However, in the third quarter, CB Benidorm recovered and reduced the lead. Despite maintaining a thirteen-point lead, CB Benidorm managed a comeback and won the game 53-50 with a three-pointer in the final seconds. DBC will seek to learn from this defeat in the regional category and will prepare for its next match against Jorge Juan de Novelda.
The DBC Preferred Senior Men faced NB Xàtiva. Despite fighting in the match, DBC failed to find its best version and lost 72-50. The lack of success and concentration affected the team, although they showed flashes of good play in the last five minutes. The team will seek to score important points in its next match against CB Canals.
