Fibromyalgia sufferers took to the streets to raise awareness about the disease to citizens

May 17 from 2019 - 00: 24

Last Sunday, May 12, Fibromyalgia Day was commemorated, a "ghost disease" that affects many people in the Marina Alta, causing them pain and fatigue and significantly altering their quality of life.

The members of AFIMA went out to the street to raise awareness about their illness, explaining to neighbors that they approached what it means to live with fibromyalgia. During the tour they were accompanied by two volunteers from the musical band of the Church of San Miguel de Dénia.

On Monday morning, in the lower part of the Town Hall, the presentation of the new logo of the association, created by the designer Toni Ortolà, took place. During the ceremony the manifesto was read this year and at the end a choreography of the song was performed Today I can not get up of Mecano sung by Fanny with the help of Dianense choreographer and dancer Manuel Sáez.
