Absolutely full at the Valencia Chamber Orchestra concert conducted by Pere Molina-González from Diane

27 September 2021 - 16: 23

Through a long ovation, the public of Dénia thanked the Lyric Gala by the Valencia Chamber Orchestra. Amid applause, the chief conductor of the Orchestra, Dianense Molina-González, thanked the commitment made by the Department of Culture and said he was very happy to "play at home". The capacity of the auditorium was full and, after the first encore, the applause from the audience was truly effusive. The principal conductor of the Valencia Chamber Orchestra wanted to offer a special dedication through the last encore to who was the maestro Roberto Sanchís. Professor at the city's conservatory who recently passed away. The applause from the audience was truly resounding.

The energy of the OCV was already felt from the beginning. With a vibrant Figaro Wedding Overture and careful work on articulation, phrasing, and Mozart style, Molina-González's baton turned out to be elegant and passionate. In other words, it was of undeniable quality. Fully knowledgeable about the repertoire, detailed and with a neat phrasing, he knew how to make the orchestra and the soloists an unbeatable combination.

The versatility of the singers was admirable. With a very vocally demanding repertoire, both showed great complicity on stage, in which the maestro Molina-González and the orchestra musicians also participated. This repertoire is already a quality mark for the OCV.

The velvety voice of the Valencian Teresa Albero and her vocal dominance make her one of the most exquisite of the moment. He shone in all genres, demonstrating absolute versatility and enormous care for style. He amazed the audience with his interpretation of the aria by the Countess of Las Bodas de Figaro -Dove sono- in which he revealed his most personal brand, the singing line and his meticulous work on nuances. This allows him to face such extraordinary challenges as the interpretation of La voix humaine by F. Poulenc, which is now in its sixth performance. Albero also gave us a magical moment with María la O, by the Cuban E. Leucona.

The imposing timbre of the Spanish-Brazilian Rodrigo Esteves is always fascinating, and reveals his own mastery of his experience in the best theaters and auditoriums in the world. Esteves highlighted with the romance Fight the faith for the triumph, a genre, that of the zarzuela, in which he excels. Proof of this is his upcoming participation in the production of La tabernera del puerto at the Teatro de la Zarzuela in Madrid.

It was a very emotional concert, within the framework of the tenth anniversary of the Valencia Chamber Orchestra and at the same time, twenty years of the baton of maestro Pere Molina-González. A double celebration that, without a doubt, was a great commitment by the City Council and which turned out to be a resounding success.
